BT was voted the best company to work for the last couple of years if I remember correctly.
What impresses me as a consumer is just how simple yet innovative their offers are. Not only do customers get free wifi but they also get what is basically a password keeper to help them connect.

Are you a gleek? Do you want to be able to watch every episode of Glee directly on your iphone for free? Well, there’s a jailbreak app for that. Glee Mobile, available exclusively via Cydia lets you stream every episode of Glee to your iPhone, at absolutely no cost.
To be honest with you, I doubt this app really is legal but I’m sure the gleeks out there won’t be discouraged by copyright infringements.
You can download Glee Mobile for free on Cydia.
There are still some apps that are only available for Jailbroken iPhone apps which makes jailbreaking your iPhone worth while.
Since their reason for being excluded from the iTunes Store is because they either don’t play within the rules, shouldn’t really be a deterrent for us mere mortals to enjoy the apps.

‘iDOS’ Emulator Supports DOS and Windows 3.0 on iOS Devices
a new emulator application that appeared in the App Store earlier today which allows users to run DOS and even Windows 3.0 on their iOS devices.Late last night iDOS was released. Based on DOSbox, an open source DOS emulator, iDOS is a universal app that has PC keyboard support, mouse support, multiple screen modes, and more.
While the full capabilities of the emulator are still being discovered, the $0.99 application already boasts an impressive set of features. It is unclear whether Apple’s approval of iDOS was in line with the company’s broadened guidelines and whether it will continue to be offered in the App Store as news of its capabilities begins to spread.
iDOS is compatible with iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch, and requires iOS 3.1.2 or later.

iPod nano rumors going wild
With Apple’s media event just two days away, iPod rumors are swinging into high gear. Rumors of a smaller iPod nano kicked off late last week and have been quickly followed by a flurry purported case leaks and additional claims supporting the belief. 9 to 5 Mac and AppleInsider share some additional cases and screen protectors that have popped up on Asian e-commerce sites with claims that they are for a forthcoming iPod nano model.

One of the new case leaks offers enough detail that we can begin to guess at some of the physical features of the next-generation iPod nano. A long slot on the edge of case certainly appears to be designed to accommodate Apple’s 30-pin dock connector, which has been claimed to be included on the new device. An elongated hole on the opposite edge likely represents an on/off or hold switch as found on several previous and current iPod models.
Speculative identification of next-generation iPod nano physical features
The remaining three holes visible on the claimed iPod nano case are less obvious in their functionality, but one (possibly the one next to the dock connector) is certain to be a headphone jack. The remaining pair of holes in close proximity along the opposite edge could accommodate physical volume buttons similar to those found on the iPhone 4, although that conclusion is the most speculative of the identifications.Finally, all of the purported cases contain either a completely open back or an open slot on the rear of the case, a feature that is rumored to accommodate a clip as was found on earlier-generation iPod shuffle models.
Well if the rumors are true, then tomorrow, a lot of iPod Nano users will be able to jump on the iOS bandwagon with their iPod Nanos. Based on the screenshots you see above, it also looks like that this iPod will also have wi-fi integrated into it. However, I can’t see any of the regular iOS apps working. If anything, you will be lucky to see the weather app working on there. I should also say that if the screen is going to be that small, then I don’t see how you will be able to watch music videos or movies on such a small screen.
I should also use this as a reminder that if anyone is doing video coverage of the event then I will try and put it here 30 minutes before the event is scheduled to start.

Useful Light Tethered Trojan Flashlight App pulled from Appstore

“How a 15-yo Kid Tricked Apple With a Disguised iPhone Tethering AppOh, Nick Lee, you clever boy. You see, Nick here tricked Apple with a very simple iPhone application: Handy Light. On the surface it looked like any other $0.99 flashlight application. But, secretly, it was a lot more useful.
It turns out that the story of the Trojan horse still works today since a 15-yo Kid named Nick Lee created a innocent looking iphone app and Tricked Apple since it was able to provide the much loved iPhone Tethering.
Previously this was possibly by creating special Congfiguration prfiles using the Official settings of the iPhone Configuration Utility.
For the brief time that Handy Light was available however it was much simpler to allow internet usage on your computer by simply connecting your iPhone via USB cable and using the internet through your phone.
On the surface, Handy Light just allowed you to make your iPhone’s screen go blank with a color of your choice. You opened it, clicked a swatch from a simple palette, and that was it: Life in technicolor. Another stupid flashlight application, like a hundred others. Or so the people who test applications at Apple’s App Store thought.
Inside, the app was a full tethering application, a program that allows you to use your iPhone as a 3G modem, so you can surf the web from your computer connected to the iPhone. All without having to pay the additional $20 per month that AT&T stupidly wants you to pay for that kind of service. That $20 on top of the data plan you already pay for the iPhone.
I really hope that it is the MOBILE industry and NOT Apple that is creating these barriers as it really makes no sense. We are already paying extremely high prices for data rates compared to even developing countries like Brazil and South Africa
I agree with Gizmodo, and wish the programmers all the luck to go and create apps with hidden features, Trojan doors and all the fun things we WANT, but can’t necessarily HAVE due to silly policies made by GREED.
