One pet grievance for many iPhone users is the fact that you are restricted from simply copy all the songs from iPhone to the computer of your friend (or your new computer for that matter)
We understand that Apple did this for the benefit of copyright owners as to prevent the unauthorized sharing of music, however unfortunately many of us who simply want to copy the file to another computer we are using then have to either copy it over with USB or get other work arounds.
If you are on a Apple Mac you can luckily use a program called Senuti (the Opensource version) form

For PC users I suggest going to the source computer’s iTunes library and just copying it over with USB
Senuti — Free Open Source GPL Version
Senuti [external link] up to version 0.52 was released under the GNU GPL. I was a big fan, especially because it’s an open source program and provided a useful capability that I used. I was verydisappointed and felt betrayed when recently, Senuti was made commercial and nearly every trace of the open source version has been wiped from the internet. However, according to the GPL, it is legal for *anybody* to redistribute the GPL’d version of Senuti. So I am.
