Skype came on the scene a few years later and turned out to be the one company providing both a great quality AND a good price (modally FREE) > Well, Yesterday I did my first Skype to mobile phone call with my newly

> Skype not only provides calls to other Skype users but also to landlines for a fraction of the cost ghat fat cat mobile companies charge. Additionally you can also send text messages and for the time being it is only send and not receive. You see there is really no valid reason why we should have ever paid so much for text messages in the first place. If the Internet wasn’t created by academic and scientists and rather created by mobile operators we would have been charged for every single email we’ve ever sent, and probably even every part of every webpage we ever visited. With Skype or a competitor voip provider on mobile devices finally we should be starting to see email like charges(just a monthly fee for a connection) for Voice over IP. Have you used Skype on your mobile phone yet?
