Mobile Internet products will outnumber humans this season, ‘cisco’ forecasts
‘cisco’ emerged by having an interesting conjecture in the latest forecast of worldwide mobile data traffic: through the finish of the year, you will see more Internet-connected mobile products than people on the planet.
“Through the finish of 2012, the amount of mobile-connected products will exceed the amount of people on the planet, by 2016 you will see 1.4 mobile products per capita,” ‘cisco’ stated in the Global Mobile Data Traffic Forecast Update launched today. “You will see over 10 billion mobile-connected products in 2016… exceeding the earth’s population in those days (7.3 billion).”
The amounts include not only phones but pills, laptops, handheld gaming systems, e-visitors, in-vehicle entertainment systems, digital picture frames, cameras, and “machine-to-machine modules.” That latter category includes programs for example using wireless systems to update digital advertisements.
Global mobile data traffic bending for that 4th year consecutively this year, and can grow 18-fold by 2016, striking 130 exabytes annually (the same as 33 billion Dvd disks, 4.3 quadrillion MP3 files, or 813 quadrillion texts), ‘cisco’ stated. Not remarkably, streaming content, video particularly, is anticipated to experience a crucial role in growing data traffic. Great news for customers: mobile network speeds increases nine-fold by 2016. Not so good news: the times of limitless data plans appear to become expiring rapidly, with couple of exceptions.
