This last Tuesday the 8th of February Google release the update to their Google search app which now includes google translate of SPOKEN sentences
This brings us closer to having the real time translation ability as seen in classic sci-fi shows like Star Trek. Google stated:“Speak to Translate:
The New app accepts voice input for 15 languages, and – just like the web app, you can translate word or phrases into one or more than 50 languages” What is even more impressive is that you can then play the translated text and get it spoken in the local accent and the correct pronunciation. Great app for travelling.
