What is a good thing for iphone and Safari Security isn’t that great news to some jailbreakers as Apple has released an update which fixes the Safari PDF workaround to jailbreak iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches
However knowing the way that the iPhone Dev Team works (a group of very intelligent code breakers), they will most likely find another workaround in a day or two.
Last week, the German government discovered some security holes in Mobile Safari related to PDFs. Today, Apple issued a few updates to fix the problem (one for most iOS devices, and one for the Verizon iPhone). Just head into iTunes, plug in your device, and hit “Check for Updates” to grab them. If you’re jailbroken, however, you won’t want to update just yet, since this update will remove the jeailbreak from your phone. Hit the link to read more. [via Computerworld Daily]
As said previously the need for jailbreaking for average users becomes less and less with every update of the iOS however it will always be beneficial to the platform for tinkerers to be able to get in under the hood, and that will always require jailbreaking.
