The “How to” for your iPhone

Apple disables Apple ID on Hackers iPhone

No doubt Apple is leery of having its iphone OS so easily and frequently hacked (its notoriously weak security being one of the many reasons the iphone has yet to really take off in the corporate world), but Cupertino’s latest security precaution isn’t likely to win any favor. Just days after a scrappy young iPhone hacked discovered an unlock exploit for OS 3.1.3 baseband 05.12.01, Sherif Hashim received an ominous message on his iPhone after attempting to log into iTunes: “This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons.

I don’t quite agree with the statement that the iPhone is insecure… and the fact that Apple is able to remotely determine that the phone was hacked is quite impressive.
Possibly it sends a MD5 hash of the original OS? Don’t know, but definitely an option.

For now, If you are on OS 3.1.3 just wait a few weeks before jailbreaking, or don’t jailbreak at all.

Why won’t you want to jailbreak:

Considering that I’ve written posts about WHY you want to jailbreak this might sound like me backtracking, but it isn’t.

Quite a few things have changed:

1) You can legally unlock your iPhone. Just call up your service provider, or visit their website, or view a post on iPhone tutorial videos which shows you how.

2) The amount of Good Quality Apps available for Standard iPhones are now more than ever, where previously this functionalities were only in non-official apps

3)The free Video recording Apps which are nore officially available on the Appstore for older iPhones also lessen the need to jailbreak.

4) Lastly, some people just like to use the main features of the iPhone. jailbreaking ISN’T for everyone. (It was never intended to be)
