One observing iPhone user found a hidden easter-egg in the Popular Twitter App for the iPhone called Tweetie.

If you sent or received a Tweet with the hashtag #red the text of the Tweet will actually be displayed in RED.

Easter eggs (for those who don’t know) are hidden features written by programmers into applications, usually just for self amusement, but in this case the Easter egg does have a greater meaning.

It is related to the RED foundation made famous by Bono and Apple with the iPod Nano RED.
