If you have been using your iPhone for some time, as with all technology, you will run into one or two problems.

One unexpected iPhone bug which you might encounter is all your 3rd party App’s might just stop working one day, and Crash every time you try to open them.

The first time this happened I though it was something I did wrong, and did a full recovery using iTunes (which erased everything on my iPhone, and worst part as well as my Contacts) Read the rest of this entry »

What are common problems with the new iPhone?

Tuesday Dec 2, 2008

I'm thinking about getting it but i need to know about some common problems?

As a first generation product, there are probably still a lot of things that will be improved upon, either through software or firmware updates. As far as the other problems listed by other posters: The keyboard is not that hard if you trust the autocorrection. I'll mistype about 50% of my words, but about 90% of the mistypes are fixed by autocorrection. You can't do MMS (pictures from cell phone to cell phone), but you can email pictures directly to another cell phone. You can do IM, but you have to go to website to do it, common ones are BeeJive, Mundu, and Meebo. The biggest problem I have with the iPhone is the lack of approved 3rd party apps. I'd like to have a password program, more games that can be loaded onto the iPhone, and such, but won't be able to until the SDK is introduced in Feb 08

What are the problems of buying an unlocked iphone for T-Mobile?

Sunday Nov 30, 2008

I really want one, and now I’m on a T-Mobile plan, so can anyone fill me on what you can and can’t do on the iphone if it is unlocked for T-Mobile? Main things I want to be able to do: Call/Receive Calls, Text/Picture Message, Use the ipod portion, and web surf.

The only issue you might get is if you have a data plan with T-Mobile, your iPhone is not setup to correctly to use it (it is setup for AT&T’s data). The solution is to use something like Disable3G.com ’s solution to get the right setup. Disable3G can be used to disable edge/3g connection, but it can also be used to enable edge/3g for another carrier.

Want the long list or REALLY LONG LIST of issues with AT&T service with iPhone?
You can make multiple calls to Customer Care or Send a letter with your issue(s) to:

AT&T Mobility
Glenridge Highlands Two
5565 Glenridge Connector
Atlanta, GA 30342

The letter option will be faster and more effective….

Monday Nov 24, 2008

….have them fix it…………

what if you have fat fingers and have problems with your iphone?

Saturday Nov 22, 2008

i was watching the demo and the keyboard for the iphone is quite small
i don't know if that was acutal size but it did seem really small
i wonder how you'd manage with abig fingers?

LOL to the first 4 answers!

the iPhone guesses what the next character is going to be, In English it's pretty simple, then allocates a larger fudge factor to those characters!

And, when you keydown on the screen, you get a visual confirmation of the letter you are tapping.

Pretty amazing… I have fat fingers too!

AND you can't use a stylus it has to be fingers!

Are there any known problems with bluetooth connection between iPhone and car bluetooth handfree device?

Thursday Nov 20, 2008

I was able to pair my iPhone with my car handfree bluetooth device. However, once I turned off the bluetooth on my iPhone and turned it back on, both devices were not able to detect each other. I had no problem with my other two bluetooth phones previously. Firmware version for my iPhone is v1.0.1.

not all car kits work.

Car Bluetooth kits: Built-in and aftermarket

* Sony Ericsson HBC-30 — Semi-compatible The automatic answer function cannot be used with the iPhone. In order to answer a phone call, the user must slide the unlock function, answer the phone, select the speaker function, then select the HCB-30 from the list of available devices. Alternatively, you can press the phone icon on the small control panel of the HCB-30 to answer.
* Land Rover LR3 — Compatible Nathan Rosenberg writes: “My phone works great through the LR3’s integrated Bluetooth speaker phone, including the dial pad and off switch in the truck.”
* Audio A8 built-in — Compatible
* Anycom HC110 — Incompatible
* Mercedes E320 — Compatible There is a face plate at the bottom of the adapter. A code is under that plate, and you need it to enter as a security code when pairing the iPhone with the Bluetooth adapter. Turn on the iPhone Bluetooth network search before turning on the car (Thanks, Nancy)
* Toyota Camry Hybrid — Compatible Bluetooth is standard with the Camry Hybrid, and iPhone Atlas reader Mitch reports that the iPhone works well with it. Instructions for operation: 1.Turn on Bluetooth on the iPhone 2. Press the Talk button on the steering wheel 3. Speak the command “Setup” 4. The car’s voice walks you through the rest – setting a pairing code, adding a new phone, etc.
* Toyota Prius — Compatible On-screen instructions take you through the pairing process. Once paired, incoming calls are routed to the car’s speaker and microphone.
