Easter egg in Tweetie 2 – iPhone App

One observing iPhone user found a hidden easter-egg in the Popular Twitter App for the iPhone called Tweetie.

If you sent or received a Tweet with the hashtag #red the text of the Tweet will actually be displayed in RED.

Easter eggs (for those who don’t know) are hidden features written by programmers into applications, usually just for self amusement, but in this case the Easter egg does have a greater meaning.

It is related to the RED foundation made famous by Bono and Apple with the iPod Nano RED.

Looking forward to more iPhone easter Eggs.

I’ve found that Apple now includes RSS Feeds for it’s iPhone and iPod Touch Apps as well. Extremely useful if you wish to keep an eye out for new Apps.

Below is a grouping of the RSS news feeds for iPhone / iPod Apps. Its the easiest to open with Google Reader.

In addition to this Apple has also made a Web-preview of Apps available on the webpage below:

If you have iTunes installed it will launch, however on a work computer which might not have iTunes installed you will still be able to view the Webpage with the newest iPhone / iPod Touch Apps and some reviews.

Its been easy to pay by Paypal for quite some time now using the Paypal app but receiving money from people who don’t have paypal acocunts can be amazing for Contractors or web specialist.
